The national leadership of APC, has reconciled factions of the party in Zamfara State

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC, has reconciled the two warring factions of the party in Zamfara State.

Emerging from a meeting that lasted for about three hours, the leaders of the two factions, former governor Abdulaziz Yari and Senator Kabir Marafa have resolved to work together for the interest of the people of the state and that of the party.

Addressing journalists after the meeting held at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, the Chairman, National Caretaker Committee of the party and governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, said peace had finally returned to the party in the state.

Attesting to their resolve to work together, former Governor Yari said the two groups had admitted their mistakes and agreed to correct them by coming together, adding that the unity in the party was paramount for its success in future political endeavors.

The party had been polarised along two factions led by the former Governor, Abulraziz Yari and Senator Kabiru Marafa.

The crisis in the party had cost it all the national and state legislative victory in the 2019 general elections to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
