The Emir of Awe in Nasarawa State, Alh. Isah Abubakar Umar, said traditional rulers are the bedrock of Security in the the country as they intermingle with people at grassroots.
The Emir made the assertion during a condolence visit to the Emir Emir of Kaura Namoda, Maj. Sanusi Muhammad Asha, rtd who loss 8 aides in an attack to his convoy in December, 2020.
Alh. Isah Abubakar who admonished federal government and security agencies to consider traditional rulers as critical stakeholders in security and give them enough power to play their roles in addressing the insecurity bedeviling the country.
On his part, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Maj. Sanusi Muhammad Asha, rtd, who thanked the Emir of Awe for the Visit, said, plans are in the pipeline to regain the position of traditional rulers in governance and security architecture in the country.
He therefore appealed to the government and traditional institutions to keep on working as frontiers in solving any security challenge as well as to provide modernities to move the country forward.
