The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Zamfara State Chapter, has called on state government to mach words with action by ensuring timely release of funds to the ministry of health and its agencies to ensure uninterrupted health care services to the people of the states.
The Vice Chairman of the Association Dr Sanusi Bello made the call in statement issued to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.
He said NMA will continue to partner with Zamfara state government towards ensuring a reburst health care industry that will serve the best interest of the he people of the state.
It stated that, the allocation of 12.98 billion naira in the 2021 budget to the ministry of health and its agencies is the highest in the history of the state.
The statement also appreciated the efforts of governor Bello Muhammed Matawalle for expansion of Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau and reconstruction of Isolation center in Damba and construction of 147 primary healthcare centers across the state.
