Governor Nasiru Elrufai of Kaduna State has expressed worried over the law turn out of the electorate in the ongoing local government election in the state.
He stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote around 12:20 PM at his poling unit, Ungwar Sarki Kaduna North Local government.
Governor Nasiru Elrufai called on people of the state to come out and vote the party of their choice, stressing that, he was aware that, in some poling units there were delayed in arrival of election materials.
He explained that, the report reached him sofar indicated that, the election had commenced in all the poling units where the election is being conducted, urged the electorate to come out enmass to elect candidate of their choice.
He pointed out that, there was significant improvement on the election process especially with the use of the electronic voting machine if compare with the 2018 local government election in the state.
“The improved votin machine, we now have makes it nearly impossible to do multiple voting which happened alot in 2018”
He said kaduna state government is committed to free and fair election in kaduna state
“As i said several times we are not going to behave like other parties or other states government where the ruling party rule everything”
“We allow the people of kaduna state to elect who they want, we do not have to win every where, we knew that, we have work for the people of kaduna state”
Governor Nasiru Elrufai expressed confident that all reasonable and fair minded people would vote for their candidate because they improve the well-being of it’s people.
