A member of the Zamfara State house of Assembly representing Shinkafi local government area Alhaji Muhammad G.Ahmed was killed by armed bandits in the State.
Sources from their family said, Muhammad G.Ahmed was ambushed by the underworld men along Sheme – Funtua road kidnapped his son and a his driver.
The law maker was said to be traveling to Kano for registration of his son who got admission in one of the institutions.
It was gathered that the lawmaker until his death was the chairman house committee on Finance and appropriations bill and was the long serving lawmaker in the State assembly.
The deceased also served as local government secretary and was a lecturer at the college of Education in sokoto State before he joined politics in 1999 the State.
Confirming his death,to Radii Nigeria Correspondent in Gusau, the clerk of the house Alhaji Shehu Saidu Anka said the lawmaker was shot by armed bandits along Sheme-Funtua road in katsina State.
He since buried according to Islamic rights.
