Amb. Henry Omaku, called on the university system to pay more attention to research and innovation

Nigerian Ambassador to Sierra – Leone, Henry Omaku, has called on the university system to pay more attention to research and innovation aimed at reorientation of the values of their immediate communities to enhance peace and unity of the country.

Ambassador Henry Omaku made the call during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi.

According to Ambassador Henry Omaku, the university system is one of the biggest training institutions that contains the largest number of learners who are mostly youths hence the need to prioritize activities on value reorientation and integration in the teaching and learning process to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Bala Muhammed said the institution was poised to ensuring its objective of the attainment of 21st century university is achieved.

He commended Ambassador Henry Omaku who is an alumni of the university for the visit which according to him, would go a long way in adding impetus to the development of the university.

Highpoint of the visit was presentations of one million Naira for the university alumni project and another one million Naira to Alago Students Union in the school by Ambassador Henry Omaku.
