President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to as a matter of urgency embark on visit to Niger state to have a post hand information on the worsening security situation bedevilling some local government councils.
This is with a view to enable both the Federal and Niger state government to synergise and fastrack the process of safeguarding lives and properties of Nigerllites.
An elderstatesman Alh Muhammadu Awaisu Wana gave the advice in a telephone interview with Radio Nigeria in Minna.
Alh Muhammadu Awaisu Wana wondered why despite the love shown to President Muhammadu Buhari by people of Niger state that gave him massive votes in all his elections his visit to the state is very few considered to that of Borno state.
He pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to come and see their pathetic situation as far as security is concern in Niger state where some local government councils are being attacked by armed bandits on daily basis thereby causing collateral damage to it’s young men women and youths.
Alh Muhammadu Awaisu Wana maintained that unless concrete steps are taken to enable farmers in the state return to their farm this farming season there could be food shortage and hunger.
He appealed to governments at all level to work collectively to enhance the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians.
On agitations in some parts of the country the elder statesman called for caution stressing that the unity and oneness of Nigeria must remain sacrosanct.
