Niger state government urges Christians and Muslims in the state to conduct special prayers for God intervention in the fight against insecurity


Adherents of two major religion Islam and Christianity in Niger state have heed to the directive of state government to conduct special prayers at mosque and churches for God intervention in the fight against insecurity.

It is against this backdrop that Muslims converged on Minna Central Mosque for the special prayer session led by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.

The Governor represented by his Deputy Ahmed Mohd Ketso enjoined Muslims and Christians to return to Allah to overcome the ugly trend.

Director General Bureau for Religious Affairs Niger state Sheikh Umar Faruk Abdullahi said the state government is collaborating with security agencies who are working round the clock to ensure that they protect lives and property of Nigerllites and called for collective efforts by all and sundry to succeed.

Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Niger state chapter Rev Mathias Echioda Senior Pastor of occupy ministries while praying for peace for the state and Nigeria commended Niger state government for believing that God can salvage Nigeria from it’s present predicament.

He appreciated the courage of government to call for prayers saying that they have always been praying against banditry.
