Minister calls for adequate budgetary provision and timely completion of Constituency projects


The Minister of Special Duties and lnter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume has called for adequate budgetary provision and timely completion of Consistuency projects across the country.

This was part of the communiqué issued at the end of a two-day Stakeholders’ Interactive Summit with Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Abuja, on the Implementation of Zonal intervention/Constituency Projects.

This became necessary to avoid cases of abandon projects and negligence on the part of contractors.

The Communiqué recommends adequate funding for all zonal interventions and constituency projects.

It stressed the need to track all intervention to ensure timely delivery for the benefit of all Nigerians, especially at the grassroots.

The Summit urges relevant MDAs to take full control of the execution of zonal intervention projects.
