No fewer than 96,666 pupils in primary 1to 3 in Public Schools across Kwara state are to benefit from Home Grown free School Feeding Programme of the federal government.
The state Focal Person for the National Social Investments Programmes (NSIP), Hajiya Bashira Abdulrazaq-Sanusi stated this at a training for 100 independent monitor recruited for the programme in Ilorin.
According to her no fewer than 4,500 rural women food vendors have been medically screened for the school feeding programme.
She said that the federal government had designed the programme to feed Primary 1 to 3 pupils while Kwara state government will provide free meal for pupils in Primary 4 to 6.
Hajiya Abdulrazaq-Sanusi noted that the programme has supported more than four million beneficiaries across the country through a fair transparent process.
