Yobe state Gov’t donates N50m for the construction of Potiskum Emirate council Central Mosque

Yobe state Government has donated fifty million naira for the construction of the Potiskum emirate council Central Mosque.

 

Announcing the donation at the launching of five hundred and fifty million naira appeal fund raising, took place at Potiskum Emir’s palace, Governor Mai Mala Buni, urged Muslims at all level to give their contributions for the construction of the mosque, added that not to be discouraged with the little they have either in cash or building materials.

 

Governor Buni thanked the Chief Launcher, Chairman of the occasion and other invited guests that came within and outside Yobe for their immensely contributions.

 

He also call on the public to take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan to pray for peaceful coexistence for the state and the country at large.

 

Declaring the donation open Chief Launcher of the occasion Alh. Awal Abdullahi, has donated fifty million naira cash with a pledged to provide a carpet to the mosque when completed.

 

Alh. Awal further announced the donations of Senator Ibrahim Geidam,Senator Ali Sheriff, Alh Dahiru Mangal, Alh. Abdul-azziz Yari and Alh Aliyu Dantata with ten million naira each, others are Senator Adamu Aliero five million naira, Senator Aliyu Wamako, Sen. Danjuma Goje and Sen.Abdullahi Adamu donates one million naira each.

 

President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan has also announced his donation of twenty million naira and that of Senator Muhammad Sani Musa five million naira, Sen. Bello Manniya and Sen. Sadiq Umar donates one million naira each.

 

Earlier in his welcome address Chairman Potiskum Local Government Council Alhaji Salisu Muktari thanked all the invited guests for honouring the invitation and pray for the journey mercy on their way back home.
