As the World Mark’s World Data Day today, the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA has urged the public to adopt effective data storage and backup measures of all valuable data from servers, personal electronic devices regularly.
A statement by the
Head, Corporate Affairs and External Relations, (NITDA), Mrs Hadiza Umar says Storage devices such as hard drives, flash drives, sound clouding are effective means to guide against data crashes, theft, or loss.
The statement says this year’s event is timely as it indicates the sudden global shift of working-from-home.
The statement indicates that the day also aims to raise awareness concerning the role of data in our lives and consequently the importance of undertaking regular data backup.
