University of Abuja Students blocked express way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport

Students of the University of Abuja have blocked the express way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport leading to Giri junction over protest of increased tuition fees by management of the institution

Other demands by the students include postponement of first semester examinations date till 8th of march 2021, reopening and extension of school fee portal till end of session and no late payment of any registration fee.

The President of the Students Union Government SUG Comrade Oladeja Habib Lawale said they had several meetings with management of the University with no positive response hence the protest.

Our correspondent Daniel Adejo reports that the students insist that the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Abdulràsheed Na-Allah comes out to address them before they can leave the express way.

Meanwhile there is serious gridlock on the road as a result of the protest.
