The Federal government has called on the residents of Wara-Oja community in Kwara state and their Christian neighbours where communal Crisis erupted recently to embrace peace .
The Director- General of the Institute for Peace and Conflicts Resolution (IPCR) Dr, Tswah Bakut made the call while Speaking at a three-day workshop for peace education and inauguration of the Wara-Oja peace engagement volunteers held in Ilorin West local government area of the state.
He advised the two warring factions to make themselves available for the peace meetings to find a lasting solution to the Crisis.
Represented by Ms. Hepzibah Achanya, the Head of Internal Conflict Prevention and Resolution, of the Institute, Ms,Hepzibah Achanya ,the Director- General said there was the need to search for peace in the community for the progress and development of the country.
He urged the people of Wara-Oja not to allow their differences to destroy the community .
In a remark Imam Fuad Adeyemi , commended the institute for the quick intervention in the Crisis.
