Soldier declared missing after armed bandits attack military camp at Zazzaga in Niger State


One soldier has been declared missing after armed bandits stormed a military camp at Zazzag community in Munya local government council of Niger state.

An eye witness who pleaded anonomity told our source that the banditts engaged the soldiers on ground in a gun battle that lasted for almost two hours.

The last attack took place about three weeks ago after bandits in their large number attacked a security Joint Task Force base at Alawa and Bassa in Shiroro local government council killing a mobile policemen and five soldiers.

Though no soldier has been killed in the latest attack but a soldier and an RSM of the camp was allegedly declared missing.

They carried the attack at Zazzaga community at about four o’clock in the morning yesterday after spliting themselves in to three groups to ensure smooth operation.

The bandits also sets some vehicles ablase.
