PTAD says it has removed no fewer than 20,089 pensioners not verified from its payroll in October last year

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) says it has removed no fewer than 20,089 pensioners not verified from its payroll in October last year.

The Director, Parastatal Pension Department of PTAD,Mr Kabiru Yusuf stated this while speaking at the biannual delegate conference of Federal Parastatals and Private Pensioners Association of Nigeria (FEPPAN), Railway branch held in Ilorin.

He said the exercise has save about N750 million naira monthly Pension for the federal government.

He explained that when the directorate came on board it pays pension of parastatal workers without database.

Mr Yusuf noted that currently the directorate is embarking on mop-up verification exercise of pensioners across the nation.
