Parents have been urged to inculcate good morals and fear of God in their children by exposing them to unadulterated knowledge of their religious.
The chairman, Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha made the call at a Qur’anic graduation ceremony in Abuja.
The Chairman represented by the Council secretary, Hajiya Amina Limi, said children would contribute meaningfully to the development of the society if they are given the basic knowledge and education that will make them to succeed on this earth and hereafter.
Alhaji Mustapha, emphasised on the need for parents to accord the needed priority to religious knowledge of their children for them to know the way of God and appreciate their existence on earth.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Dagiri Central Mosque Gwagwalada, Ustaz Abdulkareem Isah, said handsome rewards await any parents who ensure that his or her children acquire Islamic knowledge and work with it accordingly.
The graduants who promised to make adequate use of the knowledge acquired, appreciated their parents for their supports in the course of their studies.
