NYSC, Yobe state coordinator, wants newly posted Corp members in the state to actively participate in Community development

The Yobe state coordinator of the National Youth Service Corp Mrs Hafsat Yarima wants the newly posted Corp members in the state to actively participate in the development of their host communities. Mrs Hafsat Yarima stated this during the closing ceremony of the three weeks orientation camp for the Batch A stream I held at the NYSC Permanent orientation camp at Dazigau in Nangere local government area of Yobe state. She explained that with the training they received during the camp activities, they should strive to leave lasting legacies which the host communities would remember them for. Mrs Hafsat Yarima equally requested the corp member the use the vocational training and other skills acquired during the period to became self reliant instead of waiting for white collar jobs.
” The Scheme is partnering with institutions such as the Bank of Industry (BOA), Bank of Agriculture (BOA), and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as well as the NYSC Foundation to make available soft loans to enable you start small scale enterprise”
She reminded the corp members of the need to be of exemplary behavior during the serve year and uphold the values of the scheme such as humility, honesty, loyalty and patriotism.
Mrs Hafsat Yarima further commended the Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni and the other stakeholders for creating the conducive environment that gingered the smooth and successful conduct of the orientation exercise.
