Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Abutu Yaro has established two new Police Outpost in Kanoma and Janbako Villages for improved Security.
This is contained in a statement made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau, Signed by SP Muhammad Shehu, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer.
The statement explained that, the creation of the two outposts emanated from the sympathy and assessment visit paid the state Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle to villages that were attacked by bandits and killed innocent lives.
According to the command, Joint Security Operatives and Members of Special Constabulary Police have been adequately deployed to the outposts to take over security architecture and restore public safety and security of the affected communities.
Noting that, another Pin down Point has been established at Amumu Village and deployed adequate number of Police Mobile Personnel of 78 PMF Squadron, Maradun, Police Operatives of Federal Highway Patrol and Civil Defence Operatives.
CP Abutu Yaro explained that, the development was inline with the Police and Other security agencies in collaboration with the State government’s Commitment to rid the state state of all forms of criminal activities and restore public confidence and trust on the capability of government and security agencies to protect lives and property of the citizenry.
He therefore warned them against extortion and charged them to be more alive to their mandate by working in unity and in collaboration with host communities.
