The Director General of the Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology NITT, Dr Bayero Farah has said that the outreach learning of the institute in kumo , Akko local government area of Gombe state will soon become fully operational.
Dr Bayero Farah made this known while briefing newsmen after the inspection of facilities at the centre in kumo.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of work done in the centre while observing that there were some little amendments to be made which was normal with every new structures.
The Director General said the facility which was fully equipped with state of the art equipments would provide training for the operators in the transport sector of the economy.
He also noted that for the transport industry to achieve the desired objectives it was imperative that operation in the industry must be supported with regular training and skill improvement.
Dr Bayero Farah disclosed that the institute had already started offering courses that would lead to the award of Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in transport technology.
He expressed grattitude for the support given to the institute by the Gombe state government which would facilitate the development of the transport sector particularly in the north east region of the country.
