Kebbi State Government donated vehicles to 1 Brigade Battalion of the Nigeria Army Gusau Zamfara State

The Kebbi State Government has donated vehicles to 1 Brigade Battalion of the Nigeria Army Gusau Zamfara State to combart bandetry in Kebbi, Sokoto and
Zamfara States.

Presenting the vehicles that include Eight Toyota Hiluxe and Twenty Motorcycles to the new Brigade Comander Brigadier General Mohammed Bello Wabini, the State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, said the first priority as government was to provide security to its citizenry.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri, the Governor emphasised that, the state is the first in the country in terms of peace despite bandits and kidnapping activities happening in the zone.

The Governor, said the vehicles donated to the Brigade was to assist the Military in maintaining security in the state.

He commended the outgoing Brigade Comander for his proactive in tackling security issues in Kebbi State and hoped that the new Brigade Comander would put his experience to the state security.

The Governor revealed that, the State Government used to assist families of those soldiers that lost their lives in the course of discharging their duty in the state during festivities.

In a remark, the new Brigade Comander, 1 Brigade Nigeria Army Gusau, Brigadier General Mohammed Bello Wabini, thanked the State Government for the donation and assuted judicious use of the vehicles.

He assured to put his experience to the security issues in the state despite the security situation is a little bite difference from that of the North East but still challenging.
