Kebbi Development Forum distributes 100 bags of grains as palliative to flood victims

The Kebbi Development Froum (KDF) has distributed one hundred bags of grains as palliative to flood victims in Garin Isah Village of Fakai local government area of Kebbi State.

Speaking at the distribution, Chairman flood appeal fund committee for Kebbi Development forum, Professor Ahmad Umar Sanda, who was represented by Professor Sa’adu Umar Birnin-Yauri, said it was members of the froum that donated over Two million Naira to purchase the grains for onword distribution to over Eight hundred floods victims in five local government areas in the state .

He said each of the affected villages in the five local government areas would benefit with Ten bags of millet and Ten bags of Maize.

The committee Chairman, revealed that, similar gusture was done by the froum in the areas of education through training of primary school teachers, provision of healthcare service, facilitation of farmers to benefit from Anchor Borrowers loan to the tune of three hundred and ninety million Naira, provision of tree seedlings and planting of trees mong others.

One of the beneficiary Malam Bello Sarki, expressed happiness and commended Kebbi Development Forum for the gesture and called on other NGOs to emulate.

The beneficiaries were affected by last years flood in the state.
