Jema’a Local Government chairman, Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik has commended the management of kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDECO) for restoring power supply in the area after four months of complete power outage.
In a statement by the information officer of the local government, Mr. Simeon Sunday, the chairman said consistent electricity supply was central to economic development and increased social wellbeing of people.
The statement therefore stressed the need for customers and management of KAEDECO to sustain their commitment to ensure uninterrupted power supply for businesses to thrive in the area.
It however cautioned the people especially the youths in the area against resorting to violent protest to drive home their grievances at every slightest provocation, pointing out that such habit is counter productive to the collective struggle for peace and sustainable development.
Mr. Averik called on the management of KAEDECO in Jema’a Local Government to partner the council in its effort to provide conducive atmosphere for businesses, and as well improve on their human relations which he described as effective tool for resolving industrial issues arising from misunderstanding.
He reiterated his council’s commitment to ensure the security of lives and property while thanking individuals and groups for their concern and efforts which finally led to the restoration of electricity supply in the area.
