Governor Mai Malah Buni of Yobe State has officially Flagg off the construction of 40 killometer Gujba-Mutai road project.
Speaking at the occasion took place in Gujba town Governor Buni said, the project which will be executed under the Multisectoral Crisis Recovery Project is awarded to Leventh construction Limited at the cost of Six billion three hundred and ninety seven million, nine hundred and thirty nine thousand, three hundred and thirty one naira twenty Kobo.
Governor Buni said, the road project which is expected to be completed in the twelve months period will facilitate easy movement of goods and services in the area.
He however called on the contractor to execute the project in accordance with the specification.
He further urged people of the area to give the contractor all necessary support in order to achieve success.
In a speech the Yobe State Coordinator Multisectoral Crisis Recovery Project, Alh. Musa Idi Jidawa, said MCRP is the project corporative in Borno Adamawa and Yobe state, supported by the Federal Government to address the need for insurgency affected communities in the north eastern Nigeria.
Idi Jidawa said Gujba Nagalda is an important road that linked the three insurgents most affected Local government areas of Gujba, Gulani and Fika who are mainly aggrerian.
Added that it would enhance movement of farm produce and other services and improvement of security interns of providing alternative roads.
He also commended Governor Mai Malah Buni’s administration for the support.
The representative of the Managing Director Leventh construction company, Alh. Sidi Ibrahim, assured that the project will be executed according standard as signed in the agreement.
