Government is doing everything possible to curb security challenges in the State – Governor El’rufai

Governor Nasiru Elrufai of Kaduna State says the state government is doing everything possible to curb the current security challenges facing the educational system especially schools attacks by bandits.

He stated this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the security meeting at government house Kaduna.

Malam Elrufai said the state security meeting with stakeholders has resolved that, schools should not be close following recent Schools attack by bandits.

Malam Nasiru Elrufai noted that community leaders would continue working with security agencies to ensure schools are safe and protected.

“We put on the table the possibility of closing schools because of the Insecurity and the participants of the meeting are very clear that Schools should not be closed”

Governor Nasiru Elrufai explained that, government decided to call the meeting because of the unprecedented security challenges the state is facing in Educational sector especially on schools.

He said the state had always faced security challenges but this time around schools are being targeted.

The governor further revealed that, Kaduna State had three kidnapped attempt in the last three days which government fell to bring all stakeholders together to layout it strategy and also to get the participants inputs .

He pointed out that, security require collective effort of every one, stressing that, for security to be effective there must be advocacy at the community level.

Deputy governor of Kaduna State Dr Hadiza Balarabe, Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly Alhaji Yusuf Zailani, Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Ahmad Nuhu Bamali, Some members of the state Executive Council, representative of Civil Society Organizations among others.
