Gov. Buni receives briefing on Buni Scholars in India

Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has received briefing on the 223 Yobe state indigenes newly admitted in Indian University.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Director General Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mamman Mohammed and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement the trio of Dr Abubakar Kagu, Dr Sheriff Almuhajir and Dr Aliyu Chikaji, informed the governor that the students had since completed registration and commenced lectures.

The team informed him that the students were acclimatizing with the new environment and were all in good condition.

Dr Kagu said, the team want to specially appreciate the Governor for his uncommon commitment to the development of education and giving youth in Yobe state a very promising future.

He said the team had discovered more opportunities government may want to explore to add value to education in the state.

The team also said a comprehensive report is to be submitted to the governor in due course.

Governor Buni commended the team for executing the project successfully placing state interest above personal interests.

He assured that government would study the report when submitted and implement the recommendations in the interest of the state.
