A former Minority Lrader at the House of Representatives, Alhaji Farouk Adamu Aliyu has pleaded with Northern youth groups not to react to provocations that are capable of sparking ethnic crisis in the country.
Alhaji Farouk Adamu made the plea at his country home in Birnin kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State after revalidating his membership card for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He urged citizens to restrain themselves from any temptation to act against the law, stating that there are certain elements that are hell bent on cause trouble and division among Nigerians.
He said security operatives are. doing their best to curtail the crisis while the northern state governors have held a meeting in Kaduna to profer solutions to the crisis.
Farouk Adamu Aliyu urged the federal government to bring the perpetuators of the recent spare of violence in the South-west to book in order to discourage reprisals and counter-reprisals.
He also pleaded with officials conducting the APC registration exercise to be fair, just and make sure all that come for the exercise are duly registered.
