Chief of Army Staff paid an operational visit to Camp one in Ngamdu

The Chief of Army Staff Major General Ibrahim Attahiru had on Monday paid an operational visit to Camp one in Ngamdu, a village in Borno bordering Yobe state.

The Chief of Army’s visit to military formations is the second in the series of familiarisation tour to the Northeast.

The first visit was the one led by the Chief of Defense staff General Lucky Iraboh and other service chiefs to the command and control center Operation Lafiya Dole at the Maimalari Contonement late last month.

On the visit Major General Attahiru was briefed by the Commander, Sector two Operation Lafiya Dole Major General OO Oluyede.

The briefing centered on the successes recorded so far.

It would be recalled that the immediate past Chief of Army Staff General Buratai retired launched the final phase of the fight against the insurgency code named Tura Takaibango.
