Yobe state Small and Medium Scale Industries Credit Board had registered One thousand Six hundred and Eighty Medium and Small Markets Entrepreneur.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Mohammed Alkali, made this available at a Ministerial Briefing organized by the Nigerian Union of Journalists Yobe state council to mark Governor Mai Mala Buni’s second anniversary, held at NUJ conference centre Damaturu.
Mohammed Alkali said, the aim of establishing the board is to support MSMEs and to create business opportunities and empowerment in the state.
He explained that the board have trained one hundred and fifty youths as agents and enumerators to implement a World Bank program.
As part of its achievements the executive secretary, disclosed that the Board had distributes the sum grant of 50,000 naira to One thousand seven hundred indigenous MSMEs each, across the seventeen Local Government Areas of the state, added that one hundred MSMEs from each of the LGA have benefited from the grant.
