We have reached an advanced stage with Min. Of labor on JUSUN Strike – Governor’s forum

 

The Nigeria Governors Forum says the forum have reached an advanced stage with the Ministry of Labour, Conference of Speakers, National Judicial Council on the ongoing strike of The Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria JUSUN.

Chairman of the forum and governor of Ekiti state stated this after the forums meeting in Abuja.

Governor Fayemi explained that all parties are working to resolve the issues surrounding the implementation of the order 10, but there are still legal aspects of the order that needed to be cleared before the full implementation of the order 10 for judicial autonomy.

On the Labour crisis in Kaduna State, the forum stands with the Governor of Kaduna state in his quest to improve the productivity of workers and their rights for a better quality life and recognizes that what is happening in Kaduna State, could reverberate to other States and appealed to both parties in Kaduna State to resolve the issues in the
interest of the State as the protection of human rights for the collective good of all citizens and
growth of the country.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai gave a briefing on the appropriate pricing of PMS in Nigeria and called for the full deregulation of the sector and noted that the federal government was spending an estimated of between 70billion and 210 billion naira every month to keep the price at of petrol 162 naira per litre, a situation that is not sustainable.
