Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni discussed with officials of the African Development Bank on areas of partnership to improve water, sanitation, Healthcare delivery, education and Empowerment programmes among others to improve the lives of the people of the state.
The statement contained in a release signed by the Director General Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mamman Mohammed, indicate that Governor Buni said the partnership was necessary to fast track the recovery plan of the state government and improve the lives of the people.
Mr Lamin Barrow, the Country Director, African Develooment Bank, commended Governor Buni for working hard to provide accessible healthcare to the people.
He said the healthcare centers that Buni’s administration put in place would no doubt improve the quality of life of his people added that they will support him in this direction.
According to the statement Mr Barrow said the bank is also considering agricultural development along the Kumadugu Yobe river basin.
