Abuja 2021: AGOMMI holds it’s first National Convention


Arewa Gospel Music Ministers Initiative (AGOMMI) held it’s 3 days National Convention at First ECWA, Karu, in Abuja from Friday 7th May, 2021 to Sunday 9th May, 2021.

The Association whose Slogan is “Spreading the Gospel through Music) gathered popular and famous Gospel Singers including the upcoming, within Nigeria in a seminar and Musical concert.

Speaking at the Seminar, on a topic “Business Matters in the Gospel Music Ministry” Prof. Patricia Aku, called on the Music Ministers to obey and Wait for God’s instructions.

She added that, “Gospel Music is the Best way to take the Gospel to the end of the Earth”.

The Professor equally encouraged the Ministers to always determine the value of the Gospel song base on it fedelity in relation to the Bible.

Prof. Patricia concluded her teaching where she said “any song that doesn’t falls in line with the word of God is not of God”.

Jeremiah Gyang, an award winning artist, a song writer and a Producer also, spoke at the Seminar on a topic “Unity among Gospel Music Ministers” He categorically explain the terms “Gospel and Music” where he employd the Ministers especially the upcoming, to understand the two terms which he said, it will help them as the journey goes.

The producer emphasized that, “every unity that is not of God, will surely fall, and if we can not be in agreement with God, we can never be in agreement with one another”

Mr. Gyang ended his teaching saying “God wants us to focus on what he wants”

Barr. Ezra Jinang also, an award winning artist, and a song writer, spoke on legal matters where he encouraged the music ministers to see the need of legal rights in their music project especially, with the Marketer and the producer.

At the event, an award of honor was given to Pastor Abel Kaburu (the Grand Patron of AGOMMI), in appreciation to his immense Support to the Association.

In his vote of thanks, the President of the AGOMMI, Uncle Sam, expressed his profound gratitude to God and also to all who contributed to the success of the convention. To the AGOMMIT he said, “the Lord will prosper our Ministries, in Jesus’ Name”

Finally, the president prayed for God’s protection and journey mercies as the Gospel Music Minister journey back to their respective destination.
